We are seeking your help on the WYFL Board. If you are willing to help or know anyone how could help with any of the follow positions please contact us ASAP.
Vice President: Performs duties in the absence of the President, coordinate with the President and provide input to the Wilson Youth Football Board. Duties include helping overseeing day to day football operations during practices and games, organizing and overseeing the off-season football program, organizing the Wilson Youth Football Jamboree in fall, attending all WYFL meetings and voting in the absence of the President on TVYFL meetings. Time Commitment: Regular throughout the season, twice a month WYFL meetings.
Coordinator of Flag Football*: Coordinate, organize, and oversee the WYFL Flag K-2 program. Work with coaches on scheduling, player evaluations, uniforms, equipment, and compliance with League Flag rules.
Time Commitment: Regular during season. Football Board Meetings.
Treasurer*: Position oversees the managing of cash and approves all payments with the President’s approval if necessary and coordinates with appropriate contact(s) for the WYFL, PIL, TVYFL. Works with marketing efforts and approves fund raising events. Helps with general needs throughout the season and works with the President in annual budgeting.
Summary of Role- Assist the President in managing of cash and payments for the WYFL. Approves and coordinates with appropriate board members any fundraising activities and capital expenditures.
Time Commitment: light during off-season, regular throughout the Season. Football Board Meetings.
Field Maintenance/Capital Project Coordinator: Provide general maintenance and upkeep of football field, practice areas, and field equipment. Primary role is making sure that football field is painted and in optimal playing condition. Coordinate and schedule with coaches and team admins/volunteers roles for game day field set up and take down including light trash pickup of sidelines and bleacher areas. Coordinate with team volunteers field painting/striping during the week during the season. Coordinates with appropriate board members for maintenance purchases necessary to run the program.
Time Commitment: Regular during season. 1-3 hours per week painting or scheduling painting.
Wilson Youth Football is proud of our long standing tradition of excellence, and look to continue this path in the future. We are currently looking for Varsity (8th grade) Head Coach and Assitant Head Coach as well as Junior Varsity (7th grade) Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach.
A successful Wilson Youth Football Coach is someone who has the drive and determination to provide great coaching and mentoring for our Student-Athletes. We are looking for coaches who believe in coaching the whole athlete focusing on character development, academic achievement and fundamentals/techniques.
Must be able to attain ALL OSAA/PIL Sanctioned Certifications, complete/pass background checks, fingerprint clearance, Heads up Football Certifications and CPR/First Aid.
