Volunteers

 

The WilsonYouth Football Association is made up entirely of volunteers.  We cannot run this organization without your help.  Below is a list of some of our volunteer positions.  If interested please contact: Darcy Shetler.

 

Volunteer Positions

Team Parent (2) - Must be on the field during all scheduled practices. Collects, confirms amounts, and turns in all money to the Treasurer. Sets snack and drink schedules, liaison to parents, players, TTYFA Board Members as directed by the team's Head Coach. Need two Team Parents per team.

 

Team Sportswriter (1) - Prepares and submits articles about the game to the Wilson Youth Football Webmaster by the Tuesday following that weekend's game.

 

Team Equipment Manager (1) - Assists the team's coaching staff in assessing and solving the team's equipment needs. Liaison between the WYF Equipment Manager, Jim McCauley, and the team. Keeps the team equipment box and medical kit fully stocked.

 

Team Field Set Up or Tear Down (4) - If your team is the first WYF team on the Jackson main field, Wilson practice field, or Wilson main field, you assist setting up yard markers, goal post pads, the game clock, and chains for the home game. If your team is the last WYF team on the field, you assist in returning to storage all the above field equipment.

 

Team Chain Gang (3) –NEW THIS YEAR!!!!  The VISITING team must provide the chain gang for all away games. There are three people needed, two for chains and one for the down marker.

 

Team Play Counter (1) - Stands in the coaches box during games and marks the number of plays each player has played up to the required number of plays.

 

Team Weigh Master (1) - Weighs the opposing team and TTYFA team prior to the game. Cannot be a coach.
